Above is a greetings flier that was handed out at a recent outreach held in Youngsville. As we have taken full-time residence at our new location, we are grateful to God for allowing us to continue to reach out to and serve the community we now reside in. As God continues to bless and expand First AsseMbly, we have and will continue to make this A PLACE TO MEET WITH GOD!

In 1997, First Assembly of God, under the leadership of Pastors Bruce and Marsha Headley, purchased a beautiful parcel of property approximately 36 acres on Verot School Rd. It is located 2 miles south from the Verot School Rd and Ambassador Caffery St intersection. At the time of the purchase, traffic was minimal and the road had some residential homes with very few businesses. Today, this area of Lafayette Parish is the fastest growing area in the entire region of Acadiana and possibly the entire state both in residential homes and businesses.
Construction for a new school/church facility was started in 1998 with a gym, a football field and a partial educational building. This was to double as a church sanctuary until the resources were available to build a single purpose sanctuary. To date, the completed gym exists and the educational building is 50% complete.
Through much prayer and the leading of the Lord, as of November 2005 we are proceeding and moving forward with the completion of the educational building and the remodeling - expansion of the gym/sanctuary. There have been many prophetic words in the past few months and over the recent years that speak to this church's destiny and purpose which continues to confirm its DNA. That is a Revival Spirit with a heart of compassion and love for the people of its community and the world. We believe that Jesus still heals and transforms the individual and families through the power of His Spirit.

The top row photos are aerial shots of our current property locations. The top left photo represents the church at its 605 location when it was built in the 60's. South College Rd was a gravel surface and the church was surrounded by fields. The center photo was taken in the 90's and the red pin is the church with the 515 building to its left. Our 3555 Verot Sch Rd location (top row right) was taken in the late 90's before the area experienced growth. Notice our propety is the one that looks like the #1. We did not see the photos until after the property was purchased. Verot Sch Rd is the line at the bottom of the #1. God truly is all knowing and once again this speaks to our destiny as a church.
